New beginnings and lasting solutions for PGG Wrightson Seeds

PGG Wrightson Seeds, a wholly owned subsidiary of the global seed business DLF, is a market-leader with a long and proud history of supplying proprietary forage, grass, brassicas, maize and cereal seeds to farmers, seed and related agronomy products to the turf industry and edible grains for human and animal nutrition. Operating in both New Zealand and Australia and exporting seeds to more than 50 countries across the world.

After splitting from their parent company, PGG Wrightson Seeds were faced with the looming deadline of having to manage their payroll on their own once the spilt was finalised. Human Resources were evaluating their options as the timeframe for switching off their payroll services quickly approached, debating between hiring payroll staff or fully outsourcing the payroll function.

PGG Wrightson Seeds knew that hiring payroll staff internally would take time to recruit, onboard and get up to speed – potentially taking longer than anticipated which could result in missing a pay run.

After suggestions from both the payroll team and MYOB (the provider of their payroll system PayGlobal) PGG Wrightson Seeds were introduced to NLC Payroll.
